What’s it about? 

Two best friends become stranded on the mystical world of Nakali, where their only escape might cost them their shared lifetime of memories.

Why watch it? 

The movie draws heavily from Philippine mythology, bringing its creatures and stories to a global audience.

Teenage Sex And Death At Camp

Directed by Jane Schoenbrun. 

Who’s in it?

Jack Haven, Hannah Einbinder, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Gillian Anderson.

What’s it about? 

A queer filmmaker is hired to direct a new instalment of a long-running slasher franchise. The director fixates on the prospect of casting the “final girl” from the original movie, and the two women descend into a frenzy of psychosexual mania.

Why watch it?

The “A Long December” sequence was pre-planned almost like a music video, with the camera movements written directly into the script. The team visited the location with an iPhone and a small iPhone Steadicam to map out exactly which beats of the song would correspond to which physical positions in the space. A director making a slasher sequel becomes obsessed with casting the original film’s “final girl”, leading both women into psychological and sexual chaos.

Verity

Directed by Michael Showalter.

Who’s in it? 

Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett.

What’s it about?

Lowen Ashleigh is hired to ghostwrite for Verity Crawford. After she uncovers what appears to be Verity’s autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the confessions about Verity’s husband and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality.

Why watch it?

Based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover.

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Last Attack (Attack On Titan: The Last Attack)

Directed by Ryota Aikei, Yūichirō Hayashi and Tokio Igarashi.

Who’s in it? 

Tomás Abalo, Natsuki Hanae and Yoshimasa Hosoya.

What’s it about? 

The fate of the world hangs in the balance as Eren unleashes the ultimate power of the Titans. With a burning determination to eliminate all who threaten Eldia, he leads an unstoppable army of Colossal Titans towards Marley.

Why watch it? 

This film adapts the final episodes of “Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack On Titan)”. It is not a continuation of the story, although some scenes have been added or differ from the original episodes.

Detective Conan: Counterfeit Case Of Ultra 30 

Directed by Nobuharu Kamanaka.

Who’s in it?

The voices of Shuichi Ikeda, Minami Takayama, Toshio Furukawa and Takeshi Kusao.

What’s it about?

As the new 10,000 yen banknote featuring the “Toto Tower” design is issued and the world is abuzz with excitement, Conan and the Detective Boys, along with Professor Agasa, Ran and Sonoko, visit the Nagano factory of the Japan Banknote Printing Bureau. Meanwhile, at the Metropolitan Police Department, counterfeit money is found at the scene of a murder and an investigation headquarters is set up. Amidst the public confusion caused by the unprecedented news of counterfeit money circulation, Conan and Heiji head to Osaka, where the counterfeit money is believed to have been printed. A national crisis stemming from the counterfeiting of the new banknotes is tackled with the biggest all-star cast in Conan history.

Why watch it?

It is a commemorative work for the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan anime.
